Oral Presentation Guidelines
Not Only foreign participants who are unable to participate in the conference due to COVID-19, but also domestic participants should submit their presentation videos in case of the worst. In other words, all presenters are requested to submit their presentation videos.

All presenters are required to submit a presentation video, but basically, an on-site presentation is essential.

Please note that the prerecorded presentation, together with the participation in the scheduled live session, will be considered as a replacement for your attendance at the conference.

Presentation Time

Speakers are requested to attend at least their own sessions from beginning to the end Session chairs may announce some information about their sessions.

The invited papers have 15~30 minutes presentation time including Q&As. For the regular papers(including special session papers), the presentation time is 15 minutes, typically 12 minutes for presentation and 3 minutes for Q&As.
The secretariat will provide a PC (MS Window 10, Powerpoint format, or Acrobat reader) in each session room. All presentations should be conducted using this PC.

Presentation Material Preparation Guideline for Oral Presenters
1. A presentation Slide (Mandatory for All Oral Presenters)
Presentation should be clearly structured. Please refer to the Slide Preparation Guideline (Click Here)

A presentation slide(PPT file) and the presenter’s short biography (Microsoft word file) must be submitted before the session so that they will be ready at the beginning of the session. Send your slides before September 17, 2021.

The file name must be the following format:
“ISOCC2021_(Session Name)_(Paper 3-digit ID#)_(Presenter Name).pptx(.doc, docx, pdf)”
e.g. ISOCC2021_DCAS1_001_Gil Dong Hong.pptx (for slide) and ISOCC2021_DCAS1_001_Gil Dong Hong.doc(for short-bio.)

2. A Video presentation (Mandatory for All Oral Presenters)
The Video presentations must be prepared according to the guidelines below and submitted by before September 17, 2021. If you do not submit within the deadline, the presentation is not possible.

(1) Please use the slide show recording function in PowerPoint to record narration over the presentation slide.

  • Material: Presentation Slide (PPT file, Presentation slide prepared according to the slide preparation guidelines), Microphone for Voice recording.
     
  • Recommended Overall Quality: HD (High Definition) for talking heads and presentations, SD (Standard Definition) for PowerPoint presentations without detailed graphics or talking heads.
  • File Size: less than 200MB (Regular&Special: Max. 12 minutes)
     
  • Recommended Encoding Settings:
    – Resolution: Minimum height of 480 pixels
    – Aspect Ratio: 16:9
    – File format: recommend MP4 (*.mp4)
    – Recommending codec: AVI, AVC(H.264), MPEG-2, VP9
  • Other
    – File naming convention
    : Videos should be named “ISOCC2021_(Session Name)_(Paper 3-digit ID#)_(Presenter Name).mp4
    e.g. ISOCC2021_DCAS1_001_Gil Dong Hong.mp4

Poster Presentation Guidelines
Poster sessions are a valuable method for authors to present papers and meet with interested attendees for in-depth technical discussions. Therefore, it is important that presenters should display their results so clearly as to attract people.

If it is not possible to attend the on-site presentation, the presenter has to make a PDF poster presentation and short video presentation for the poster.

Not only foreign participants who are unable to participate in the conference due to COVID-19, but also domestic participants should submit their slide files and short presentation videos in case of the worst. In other words, all presenters are requested to submit their PDF files and short presentation videos.

Please note that the prerecorded presentation, together with the participation in the scheduled live session, will be considered as a replacement for your attendance at the conference.

Presentation Material Preparation Guideline for Poster Presenters
1. A Poster (Mandatory for On-site Poster Presenters)

  • Poster boards will be prepared in portrait format with a maximum size of 90 cm (width) by 120 cm (height). Presenters are recommended to attach their posters by using adhesive tapes (which are available on-site).
     
  • Authors (or presenters) are expected:
    (1) To set up their posters prior to the session.
    (2) To be present with your poster during the poster session.
    (3) To explain your papers to the collected audience.
     
  • Presentation Time

    Set up Time: October 8, 2021, from 9 AM~
    Standing Time: October 8, 2021, from 3 PM~3:45 PM

    ***Oversea participants who are unable to participate in the conference: If you would like to print a poster file (pdf or ppt) and display it on site, please let us know the secretariat email(secretary@isocc.org). We are going to print the file and display the poster.

2. A PDF Presentation (Mandatory for All Poster Presenters)
  • The PDF presentations must be prepared according to the template and submitted by September 17, 2021. If you do not submit within the deadline, the presentation is not possible.
     
  • The file name must be the following format:
    ISOCC2021_(Poster)_(Paper 3-digit ID#)_(Presenter Name).pdf“,e.g. ISOCC2021_Poster_001_Gil Dong Hong.pdf

3. A Short Video Presentation (Mandatory for All Poster Presenters)
(1) Please use the slide show recording function in PowerPoint to record narration over the presentation slide.

  • Material: PDF of scaled version of the poster (Size DIN A4 or equivalent), Microphone for Voice recording.
  • Recommended Overall Quality: HD (High Definition) for talking heads and presentations, SD (Standard Definition) for PowerPoint presentations without detailed graphics or talking heads.
  • File Size: less than 50MB (Max. 5 minutes)
     
  • Recommended Encoding Settings:
    – Resolution: Minimum height of 480 pixels
    – Aspect Ratio: 16:9
    – File format: recommend MP4 (*.mp4)
    – Recommending codec: AVI, AVC(H.264), MPEG-2, VP9
  • Other
    – File naming convention
    : Videos should be named “ISOCC2021_(Poster)_(Paper 3-digit ID#)_(Presenter Name).mp4
    e.g. ISOCC2021_Poster_001_Gil Dong Hong.mp4
